Midtown Atlanta Apartment Project

Faith Technologies requested Ground Penetrating Radar Systems on site at a new high-rise apartment building in Midtown Atlanta, GA. In the process of pouring concrete, some of the electrical sleeves for floor outlets had been knocked out, lost, or forgotten. The building is a post-tension concrete structure, so drilling through the concrete without determining the location of PT cables could prove hazardous. Several core drill locations on the concrete floor were scanned using GPR to locate rebar, post tension cables, and embedded conduits within the slab prior to core drilling to add the new electrical fixtures.

GPR is a great tool for locating embedded items within concrete. GPRS project manager can help you determine the safest places to drill or cut the concrete on your project. Ground Penetrating Radar can also be used for unmarked grave mapping, locating septic systems, and for locating underground utility lines and underground storage tanks.
